General info

Founded on 15th of July 2005

On the 2nd of April 2008 it was officialy announced that Hockey Team «Himik» Moscow region is renamed to Hockey team «Atlant». Thus «Atlant» became a legal successor of «Himik».

Atlant's first season was 2008/09 hockey season – that time it entered Continental Hockey League. Latter comprises of best teams of Russia and post-CIS countries – Belorussia, Latvia and Kazakhstan.

In 2009/10 season «Atlant» plays in CHL with 24 best teams again, and in following 2010/2011 it contends with 23 teams. In 2011/12 after slovak club «Lev» enters and «Lokomotiv» Yaroslavl leaves the ranks KHL comprises of 23 teams again. That year Atlanrt scores silver prize of the previous league.

Club is patronized by Moscow region government.

Club is based in Mytischi and plays home in «Arena Mytishci».

Talisman and logo

New Logo was introduced in the end of 2010 on opened training session of Atlant on the 30th of August.

Club colors  – yellow-blue.

Performance.

Atlant plays seventh season in main division of Russian hockey.

  • 2005/06 – 6-th place, superleague. Head coach – Milosc Rzyga.
  • 2006/07 – 8-th place, superleague. Head coaches – Petr Vorobiev (up to February 2007) and acting coach Sergey Borisov (from 28 February to march 2007).
  • 2007/08 – 9-th place, superleague. Head coaches – Evgeny Popikhin (up to 31 december of 2007) and Fedor Kanareikin (from 2nd of January 2008 года).
  • 2008/09 – 6-th place, CHL. Head coach – Fedor Kanareikin.
  • 2009/10 – 11-th place, CHL. Head coaches – Fedor Kanareikin (up to 27-th of October 2009), Valery Bragin (from 27-th of October of 2009 to 7 of November 2009 as acting coach) and Nicolai Borshevsky (from 9-th of November 2009 up to 5th of ocotber 2010)
  • 2010/11 – 2-nd place, CHL. Head coaches – Nicolai Borshevsky (from 9-th of November 2009 up to 5-th of Ocotber 2010), Vyacheslav Uvayev (5-th of October to 14-th of October 2010 as acting coach), Milosc Rzyga (from 14-th of October up to 24-th of April 2011)
  • 2011/12 – 8-th place, CHL. Head coaches – Bengt Oke Gustaffson (from 6-th May 2011 up to 3-rd November 2011 ), Yanne Karlsson – from the 3rd of November 2011...
  • 2012/13 – ?, CHL. Head coach – Yanne Karlsson.

Achievements

Top achievement – 2-nd place of KHL Russia's Open 2010/11.

Silver medals and insignia from Government of Moscow Region were given on ceremony on 21st of april In the palace of culture in Mytischi.
